Morganfield Elementary School and Union County High School will offer free summer meals to children aged 18 and under. The program at Morganfield Elementary runs from June 3rd to June 30th, while Union County High School's program operates from June 3rd to June 14th.
At both locations, breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, and lunch is available from 11:00 AM to noon. Meals must be consumed onsite. "This year we will also be providing weekend meals for children who attend the program through the week," according to the announcement. These can be picked up on Fridays after an onsite meal.
Parents or guardians are allowed to pick up meals for their children, but other adults cannot do so without the child present. "Per USDA, childcare providers cannot collect program meals on behalf of parents or guardians."
