Union County Public Schools launches summer meal program for children

Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is launching its Summer SUN Meals Program, providing free hot breakfast and lunch to individuals aged 18 and under. The program will commence at Morganfield Elementary School Cafeteria on Wednesday, May 28, and continue each weekday until July 25. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m., and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Additionally, Union County High School will offer hot meals from June 2 to June 20.

Families who have pre-registered can collect SUN Meals To-Go on Friday, May 30, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at designated locations:

- Sturgis Elementary School, located at 1101 N Grant St, Sturgis, KY

- Grace Fellowship Church at 523 US-60, Morganfield, KY

- Uniontown Elementary School at 401 Walnut St, Uniontown, KY

The Friday to-go meals are exclusively for families who have signed up in advance. Identification will be required upon collection. Daily meals at Morganfield Elementary School and Union County High School do not require prior registration and are available to all children aged 18 and under.
