At a recent Union County Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Patricia Sheffer received "Exemplary" ratings in her final evaluation. This marked the end of her tenure as she is set to retire at the end of the month. The Board evaluated Mrs. Sheffer on seven standards: Strategic Leadership, Instructional Leadership, Cultural Leadership, Human Resource Leadership, Managerial Leadership, Collaborative Leadership, and Influential Leadership.
Board Chairperson Jennifer Buckman praised Mrs. Sheffer as "an exemplary leader who maintains professionalism and character," adding that she leaves behind a legacy they hope to continue. Each board member expressed gratitude for Mrs. Sheffer's service and extended well wishes for her retirement.
In response to her evaluation, Mrs. Sheffer thanked the Board, staff, parents, and community members for their support during her time as superintendent. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together," she said. "Thank you again for the privilege of serving as your Superintendent."
