On August 28, Kentucky's Commissioner of Education, Dr. Robbie Fletcher, visited Union County Public Schools. Dr. Fletcher, who began his role as the chief state school officer and CEO of the Kentucky Department of Education on July 1, is making efforts to personally connect with school systems across the state.
During his visit to Union County, Dr. Fletcher toured three schools and interacted with various district team members. At Sturgis Elementary, he engaged with students and staff in classrooms, hallways, the Family Resource Center, and on the playground. At UCHS (Union County High School), he attended a reception for Jayden and Jordyn Raney where he addressed the wrestling team and guests.
